We've spoken before about the use of third party location sites to provide examples and prints that we can use for inspiration or do modify. In this example we were able to locate an 'Ooshie Stand' that was available as a free download on Thingiverse.
Our students have been designing their own version - and in this example here we printed it via our P1P Bambu Printer.
This print was printed in sections, each of the sections were able to hold eight of the figures which had a peg on which they could be mounted. As the full range of figures is forty figures a five tier would take care of all of the figures.
There is also (not pictured) an additional cover for the top of the print and also a handle that goes to finish the file. The sections that are featured here in the photograph each have a regular print time of three hours and forty five minutes. The print uses 82g of PLA (regular) to complete the print which has a price point of $1.67c. To print a stand to feature all of the figures would of course require just under ten dollars of PLA to complete the print to house forty figures.
